Elevator Pitch #2

The feedback I got was to be a little more passionate and engaging. I attempted to accomplish this by using some statistics that would grab people's attention.

  1. Josh I really like your idea of pop up gyms in small towns. Many people cannot afford to buy enough equipment to have a gym in their home. Oh the other hand, a lot of people in small towns probably cannot afford a gym either. If the gym was at the $9.99 price point a month that could work. You could also get with insurance providers in the area of each gym and make the memberships supplemented by the insurance companies. This would help the person with cost. Good idea.

  2. Josh,
I like the idea of seeking the market of gyms in small towns. However, you do mention removing of cardio machines/equipment, which I believe many patrons use in their daily exercise routines at the gym. How will you make up for the lack of this equipment? As for the presentation, my one main suggestion is to pace yourself and slow down a bit. I would work on strategic pauses in order to really gauge the audience. Other than that I like the idea and where it is headed!

  3. Hi Josh,

I think this is a great idea! Too many Americans don't work out and come up with lame excuses as to why they don't. I love that you're business is conveniently bringing gyms closer to people, however, I don't think removing cardio machines is a good idea. So many people use the cardio machines at gyms and in order to reduce heart disease, people need to strengthen their cardiovascular systems. Therefore, I would not get rid of those machines. Great job though! Here's my blog incase you want to check it out: http://julianakrevans.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html

  4. Hi Josh!
I enjoyed your pitch and got an idea of just what you were pitching right away. It was great to get right to the point. One thing that I took note of was the cutting out of cardio equipment. If I go to the gym, I spend the majority of my time on the elliptical. Is there any other types of cardio equipment that are cost efficient? I think there would be a loss of business if a gym did not cater to cardio needs. I think it would also be good to slow down a little bit and take pauses during your pitch! Good job. http://meganerobb.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html

  5. Josh, I like your pitch a lot. I think your on to a good idea with smaller gyms locally. Your though process on cutting down the gym costs in order to cut down on membership costs is really smart and it would definitely be appealing to a lot of customers. Besides your idea you had a great presentation the only recommendation I have is to speak up a little more. I was able to turn my volume up on my computer to hear but if you were talking to a large group you'd have a speak a little louder. Great elevator pitch overall, I love the idea. 6. Great delivery! You seem very comfortable in front of the camera and this is good when telling your ideas to potential investors. I liked your idea a lot too and thought it was good that you outlined the problem your product is trying to correct. I believe it is very important for people to lead a healthy lifestyle. This is a convenient way to deliver the tools people need to promote exercise. here is a link to my bloghttp://gainerent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-feedback-i-got-was-to-be-little.html

  7. To respond to the lack of cardio equipment. . . The electric bill at a gym is one of the biggest cost factors. Weights take zero power. The thing is you can get cardio outside for free or by doing things like circuit training that are actually way more effective in not only cardiovascular fitness but in overall body composition.
